Kate Wade, Founder
Kate Wade built Get Her Hired for people who already lead, and are done sounding smaller than they are.
Before founding the company, Kate ran global strategy for a $2B business inside an $11B Fortune 200 enterprise. Her office was where the real conversations happened: promotion cases, board decks, pay equity, and how to finally get the credit you’ve earned. When her role was cut in a reorg, the line to that door didn’t disappear, it followed her, and it started paying. That became Get Her Hired.
Her path wasn’t straight, and that’s the point. She studied literature and languages, began a PhD, and dropped out when she realized she wanted to do the work, not just study it. She’s worked in global corporations, nonprofit arts, and coaching. She’s been laid off, quit on principle, and rebuilt more than once. Through every chapter, the pattern held: language is leverage.
Kate knows that words shape what people see, believe, and offer. She’s met hundreds of leaders who have never had their stories deeply listened to, never been understood the way they want to be understood. That’s the heart of her work.
Today, she helps senior executives translate high-impact, multi-chapter careers into narratives that read like strategy: résumés, LinkedIn profiles, and executive briefs that open doors and accelerate decisions. Her team has helped more than 500 leaders land interviews, promotions, and pivots, collectively increasing women’s earnings by over $3.5 million.

Kate holds a master’s degree in German Literature from the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign, and has led in both Fortune 200 boardrooms and nonprofit classrooms. She’s fluent in German, a nationally awarded flutist, and fiercely believes in equity, dignity, honesty, and the power of words to change everything.
